The Nephrology Department is a state-of-the-art department of Central Park Teaching Hospital. The department is equipped with 14 dialysis machines and provides 24 hours dialysis facility. Hepatitis C positive and negative patients are managed on separate machines. The ICU backup with ICU Dialysis is also available.
The Nephrology Ward of Central Park Teaching is comprised of 10 male patient beds and 9 female patient beds; HDU beds and a fully equipped emergency trolley.
Led by highly qualified, experienced consultants, doctors, medical officers, houses officers, nurses, dialysis technicians, and other paramedical staff, the department performs the following procedures:
1- Hemodialysis
2- Temporary Catheter Insertion
3- Parma Catheter Insertion
4- Renal Biopsies
5- Peritoneal Dialysis
