Department of Anesthesia
The department of anesthesia at Central Park Teaching Hospital provides a high standard of anesthesia care. The department includes full-me faculty members, consultants, trainees, medical officers and house officers.
It provides teaching and training programs for FCPS and MCPS. The department offers a structured programme according to curriculum laid down by CPSP and UHS, which is covered through teaching and lectures as per schedule. It provides clinical services, 24/7 to the specials of:
- General surgery
- Obstetrics
- Gynecology
- Urology
- ENT
- Ophthalmology
- Plastic surgery
- Orthopedic surgery
- Emergency
The department looks at the general intensive care unit, in addition, it maintains a pain management center that provides pain relief services to patients of chronic and cancer pain. The department also provides monitoring cover to gastroenterology and radiology departments. Various PGR in the department are doing their research work on different topics to fulfill their fellowship.
The department also provides BLS training to the students and paramedical staff. Future plans include the addition of state of the art operation theatres. ICU and pain management center along with the provision of pain relief services round the clock in obstetrics and emergency departments in the new block.
